Massage Therapy Services and Pricing
Craniosacral therapy is a gentle, non-invasive method of evaluating and enhancing the function of a physiological body arrangement called the craniosacral system. The system consists of the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surrounds the brain and spinal cord. Light touch is used to assist the natural movement of fluid within the system.
HOT STONE MASSAGE
Hot stone massage combines therapeutic techniques with warm stones. The warmth of the stones penetrates deep into the tissues to “melt” away tension, relax muscles, and encourage the flow of chi (the body’s vital energy).
LYMPH DRAINAGE THERAPY
Lymphatic Drainage is a gentle, rhythmical technique that stimulates the flow of the lymphatic fluids in order to assist the body in cleansing. This technique cleanses the connective tissue of inflammation and toxins, enhances the activity of the immune system, reduces pain and lowers the activity of the sympathetic nervous system.
Myofascial release is the application of sustained pressure and movement in the fascial system in order to eliminate fascial restrictions and facilitate the emergence of emotional patterns and belief systems that are no longer relevant or are impeding progress.
Positional Release places the body into a position of greatest comfort and employs tender points to identify and monitor the lesion being treated. By using palpation and passive positional procedures, the therapist can help restore pain-free movement.
Pregnancy massage uses specific techniques to reduce pregnancy discomforts and concerns, and enhance the physiological and emotional well-being of both mother and fetus.
Reflexology involves the manipulation of specific reflex areas in the feet, hands and ears that correspond to other parts of the body. This bodywork involves application of pressure to these reflex zones to stimulate body organs and relieve areas of congestion.
Swedish massage uses a combination of kneading, rolling, vibration, percussive, and tapping movements, with the application of oil to reduce friction on the skin.
Therapeutic massage uses any number of the above mentioned therapies to promote relaxation, reduce muscle tension, improve muscle tone, increase flexibility and decrease pain.
